The digital media star sits down with Alyssa Julya Smith at Cheddar's WeWork studio in Los Angeles to talk about the new 30-minute, teen dramady series “Youth & Consequences,” which premieres in March 2018.
Akana tells us how the series follows her character, a powerful teen trendsetter Farrah Cutney, the queen of Central Rochester High. She says it's all about the balance of power, and how even in high school, that game can become brutal.
Akana explains that the series has complex characters and she wanted to make sure to tell a story with characters who were not just one-dimensional.
