This holiday season Android Authority conducted its third annual review of the latest Android smartphones to hit the market. Managing Editor Nirave Gondhia explains which devices made the cut.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro was crowned Android Authority's smartphone winner of 2017. "We found that it's not a phone that is best in one category, it's a phone that is best overall," said Gondhia.
Just a couple points behind the Huawei device was Samsung's Galaxy Note 8. While the two devices are in similar price categories, Gondhia says the Huawei Mate 10 Pro was stronger across the board of tests conducted. The company's pick for "best bang for your buck" is the One Plus 5T. Google Pixel XL 2 earned the people's choice award for best camera.
