Perlo is the first female president of a publicly traded cruise line. In her time as CEO of the company, she increased female crew on the bridge of the ship from 3% to 21%. She also hired the first American woman as captain of a cruise ship. Plus, Celebrity employees now include people from more than 50 different cultures.
