Alain Moussi Goes From Stuntman to Leading Man in "Kickboxer" Reboot
Alain Moussi is known for his work in action films such as "X-Men," "Suicide Squad," and "Immortals." In the "Kickboxer" reboot, he plays Kurt Sloane, a role that was originated by Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Alyssa Julya Smith sits down with Moussi to discuss the film franchise, which just released the second in the series called "Kickboxer: Retaliation." Moussi talks about what it was like to act in a film when he is usually a stuntman. He also admits it was a dream come true to work with Van Damme who was one of his idols and plays his mentor in the film.
Finally, Moussi admits that he still did his own stunts in the film and although producers tried to give him help, he insisted on doing them himself. He also tells us how film sets ensure stunt people are protected against injury.
