From managing Broadway shows to consulting with non-profits, Christa Avampato has done it all. Now she has released her first young adult novel, "Emerson Page and Where the Light Enters."
Avampato joins Cheddar with a look at what it took to get it published. She says, "the first thing you have to do is write the book." From there you can get a publisher who will guide you through the rest of the process.
When asked about what it's like having editors and publishers critique her work, Avampato says that "you can't allow yourself to get deterred." There are going to be people who say no, but if you keep pushing forward, you will eventually succeed.
