The holidays in New York City are synonymous with extravagant window displays along the city's avenues. Cheryl McGinnis, Cheddar's Senior Art Correspondent, explains the significance of the one-of-a-kind window piece on display at the Prow Art Space in the Flatiron Building. Prow and Sprint partnered with students at FIT to create the window display. McGinnis says it represents the beauty and welcoming nature of the holidays. McGinnis also discusses the history of window displays in New York City. She says that they're meant to create an aura of wonder even for people who may not be able to buy the products inside the store.
