Stephanie Laing, director of "Irreplaceable You," discusses what attracted her to the film and what working with Netflix was like. The movie tells the story of a terminally ill woman searching for a new soulmate for her fiancé. Laing explains she lost her father to cancer at an early age, so she was immediately drawn to the script for "Irreplaceable You". Laing is known for comedy, producing hit HBO shows like "Veep" and "Vice Principals" and says the only way to get through a traumatic event is to laugh. Laing says Netflix bought the film halfway through production, and it was a great partner.
