* **Tamer Hurricane Season Expected:**
The 2018 hurricane season is shaping up to be "below-normal.” Experts with NOAA now predict nine to 13 named storms ー maybe only two major hurricanes of Category 3 strength or higher. Vice President Mike Pence says the Pentagon is working to create Space Force, a sixth armed service to beef up military capabilities in space and help protect satellites. * **A Potential 2020 Run for Stormy Daniels's Lawyer:**
Michael Avenatti, the lawyer for the adult entertainment start Stephanie Clifford, also known as Stormy Daniels, said he might run for president. Known as one of President Trump’s most outspoken critics in his capacity as Clifford's lawyer, Avenatti has also discussed his interest in challenging Trump on policies such as immigration. Bioscience and genetic engineering company, Colossal, raised $60 million in a Series A funding round. Colossal is focused on developing new technologies and genetic tools to restore extinct species, and protect critically endangered species. One of the startup's long-term goals is to resurrect the woolly mammoth, and return it back to the arctic. Colossal also says it is developing technology that expands beyond animals, and has the potential to advance human health.
