Keesha Sharp on Playing a Strong Female Character on Fox's 'Lethal Weapon'
Keesha Sharp stars as Trish Murtaugh on the international hit series “Lethal Weapon” for FOX. The actress sits down with Alyssa Julya Smith in Los Angeles to talk about starring in the hit movie franchise and how they are paying tribute to the original characters.
She explains that the TV show allows for more character development since they have more time to explore and focus on the personal stories. Sharp plays the high-powered attorney and wife to Damon Wayan's character Roger Murtaugh and talks about the laughs behind the scenes working with the funnyman.
Besides her work on the FOX series, Sharp also recently starred alongside Chadwick Boseman, Josh Gad, Kate Hudson, and Sterling K. Brown in “Marshall," based on the life of Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Supreme Court Justice.
Keesha was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress at the 2018 NAACP Image Awards, for her work on the film. "Lethal Weapon" airs Tuesdays on FOX.
