Telly Leung loved the movie "Aladdin" as a kid. So it is a dream come true for the actor to be playing the principal role in the Broadway production. Leung is known for his work on other shows, including "Allegiance," and his time on the hit TV show, "Glee."
The actor says one of the most magical parts of the show is when he gets to "fly" on the magic carpet with Jasmine. Leung also candidly reflects on being an Asian-American performer on Broadway, a place that has historically been whitewashed. The actor also gives his response to the sexual allegations that have been coming out of Hollywood.
Perhaps the best part of the interview is when Kori Hale and Hope King convince Telly Leung to sing for them. "Aladdin" chooses Kori Hale as his Jasmine for the scene and serenades her with "A Whole New World."
