General Motors (GM) has submitted a safety recall notification to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for 994,763 sports utility vehicles with defective airbag inflators. The recall includes the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia vehicles from the 2014 to 2017 model years. All of them were built with airbag inflators manufactured by Tennessee-based ARC Automotive Inc.
The blenders can overheat or catch fire and their blades can also break off during use. Regulators urged consumers to stop using the recalled model immediately and contact BlendJet for a free base unit replacement.
