Commuting to work can be a make or break moment for your day. So what cities should avoid if you don't want to waste your day in traffic? Javier Vivas, Director of Economic Research at Realtor.com, shares the company's latest data on the country's best and worst commutes. Eugene, Oregon tops the list of best commutes. The average commute time is 19.9 minutes. New York City has the worst commute. New Yorkers spend an average of 35.9 minutes getting to and from work every day.
