Teslarati's Tom Cross Sets the Scene for Falcon Heavy Launch
Space X's Falcon Heavy launched into space Tuesday afternoon. Teslarati's launch photographer Tom Cross set the scene from the launch site.
Cross described a lot of confidence on the ground before the successful launch took place Tuesday. Cross said the experience photographing this historic launch was "very surreal."
"It's a rush, that's why I do this," said Cross. "I have a lot of confidence in Space X because they've been able to do a lot of impossible things."
U.S. states could face some hurdles as they experiment with road usage charging programs aimed at one day replacing motor fuel taxes, which are generating less each year, in part due to fuel efficiency and the rise of electric cars.
The U.S. Department of Transportation is awarding almost $1.7 billion in grants for buying zero- and low-emission buses, with the money going to transit projects in 46 states and territories.
