Cardi B's thrown microphone may still be looking for a big-pocketed bidder and rapper Tory Lanez makes a statement after sentencing for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Here's what's happening in entertainment.

Cardi B. Mic Update

Last month a video of Cardi B went viral showing the rap star getting drenched by a cup thrown at her during a Las Vegas performance. She responded by throwing a microphone, which hit a fan near the stage.

Scott Fisher, the owner of The Wave Inc, which provides audio equipment for the venue, says he put it on eBay to try to raise money for Friendship Circle Las Vegas and the Wounded Warrior Project.

A bidder put up nearly $100,000 for the piece of music history, but so far, Fisher says he has not been able to contact the bidder. If the buyer does not come though, Fisher can start contacting dozens of other bidders who were interested in the microphone.

Tory Lanez Speaks

After receiving a 10-year sentence for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, Tory Lanez has broken his silence.

In a new social media post, Lanez defiantly maintained his innocence and said his apologies in court earlier this week were him taking "responsibility for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved…That's it. In no way, shape, or form was I apologizing for the charges I'm being wrongfully convicted of. I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do."

The Associated Press reported that he told the judge during sentencing, “If I could turn back the series of events that night and change them,” I would. He continued, “The victim was my friend. The victim is someone I still care for to this day.” Then he added, “Everything I did wrong that night, I take full responsibility for.”

A Los Angeles judge sentenced Lanez earlier this week and noted his behavior on social media leading up to trial, which has been described by many as harassment and disregard for the victim, as part of the reason for the decade-long sentence.

Lanez was found guilty of three felony charges, including assault with a semiautomatic weapon, possessing a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and gross negligence in discharging a firearm.

Pink Concert Birth

A Pink fan was trying to enjoy a girls' night out before the arrival of her new child. But the baby had other plans, forcing Angela Mercer to make an early exit.

Mercer, 31 weeks pregnant, was at the July concert with her mom and sister-in-law but began experiencing contractions as she arrived at the show. Hailing a cab wasn't in the cards due to traffic, so they began to walk until the pain became unbearable and Mercer was forced to call 911, according to Brigham and Women's Hospital. Mercer eventually made it to the hospital and is now the proud mom of a healthy son.
